do you go for all the same sort of stamp ie h/w,m/w or l/w ? just wondering if you stick to the same type only asking as we seen to have a strange contrast of horses.

1-earl my 23 year old gelderlander 17hh

2-maggie 8 year old clydesdale 17.1hh

3-finley 4 year old shire x percheron 16.3/17hh

4-joe 18 month old welsh D x traditional cob 14.2 and growing !!!!

is that a bit of a contrast or what !!!!!!

i have 2 tb BUT one is a 16.1 hunter type (very traditional hunter type) and the other is 15.3 matchstick so although they are the same breed they are very different types

My two are quite different but then they were bought for different jobs
1- 14hh Fjord, 7 years old. Plod pony for my Mum.
2- 15hh Cob, 6 years old. Competing and fun pony for me.

1- Dutch warmblood 17.0h 9 years old
2- TB 15.3h 7 years old
3- Connie 14.3h 19 years old
4- another TB- 16.0h 10 years old
5- Welsh section B 12.2h 23 years old

Bit of a mixture

Gypsy MW cob 15.1hh, 9 years old
Hattie HW cob 15.3hh, 14 years old
Inka Belgium draught x 16.3hh, 4 years old

Every time I was looking for a horse I wanted a ID x TB. I ended up with the above. I would look silly on a fine TB type so I guess I go for the chunkier types.

We have 3 atm - my 8 y.o. TB, sisters 11 y.o. native x and an 18 y.o. welsh sec c. Will be looking for a chunky cob for mum some time next year as well, so then we'll have a real mix!

another 3 very different
1. 17 yr old belguim warmblood
2. 13 yr old grey highland x tb
3. yearling minature spotted filly

the only similarity is they are all mares ans all quite substantial horses.

My friend has:
3 TBs (1 has foal at foot)
2 Warmbloods
1 Cobby Heinz 57 type thing lol
2 Welsh ponies (both with foals at foot)
1 Welsh sec B colt.
1 Welsh X...
13 in total.
I think she is insane, but hey. lol

I have just one lovely TB 8yr old mare

Your horses are all the same types as mine!
I have
4yr TB mare
18month coblet
2x welsh sec a's

The welshie gelding hates my TB, the little coblet snuggles up to all 3 and the little welshie mare loves all 3 to!
Here they all are:

16 year old, MW ISH, 15.3hh
18 month old, TB X Coloured Cob, 14.3hh

The bay ISH is very much my type! The breeding of my coloured appealed to me, but on 'paper' wasn't for me! He will make 16.1 ish, I don't like to ride 'big' horses, I love my 15 handers, wanted another dark horse with minimal markings lol! It's funny how things work out lol

I seem to have acquired two black horses, one 16.1 and one 16hh, both with wide white blazes and 3 white socks! But like GwenLP one is a traditional hunter type mare and the other is a finely built Dutch warmblood, one is long bodied and the other very short and compact.

1. Clydie x, mare 17hh
2. HW Russian gelding, 17.3
3. 14.1 Icelandic gelding
4. 32inch Falabella x, gelding

How's that for a selection?

3 very different horses:

Pilfer- Appaloosa x tb. very nice chunky boy, proper middleweight. 15.3hh

Millie- flatbred tb, nice and compact for a tb though. 16hh

Vinnie- id x tb- 17.1hh already as a 3yro, going to be a middleweight

Mine are all ponies, all except for one are m+m's. I have a 7yo 13.2hh New Forest pony mare...12yo 13.1hh New Forest x Exmoor mare...13yo 13hh Welsh x Haflinger gelding...2yo 32ins mini Shetland filly...25yo 14.1hh TB type mare.
