I have always been insured with Petplan and cannot fault their pay out as one of my horses maxed out 2 claims on vets fees. I bought a new horse nearly a year ago (I have 4 insured with petplan currently) and have made no claims over the last year but the renewal had shot up over £100 more than it was last year. I have since shopped round for prices and NFU on a like for like policy (apart from they only pay 50% of mri) is over £150 cheaper. What is peoples thoughts and experiences with NFU? I dont want to risk moving to NFU because it is cheaper to find they are difficult if I ever did have to claim!
I have spoken to petplan to explain that I have had a cheaper quote and the only way they can reduce the cost is by reducing my vets cover or value of the horse, which I obviously dont want to do!!
