I think partoow mentions it and on another thread, that horses coring in the 7+ are likely to be national level horses, and the 8s plus top end national and the 9s+ international horses. I think this is a key area to emphasie as I know a lot of breeders taking their youngsters to the futurity would be happy for their horse to become a decent national level one, but see a 2nd or 3rd premium as a negative.
From a breeders point of view it was very useful to take the filly for evaluation as although we were very pleased she was awarded a 1st premium, what was more useful was the external assessment on her strengths and weaknesses, which I can bear in mind when making stallion choices for her. It was also useful last year when we got direct feedback on the choice of stallion we had used on the broodmares, and how that had worked in the resulting foal.
