considering the latest fighting scandal in aberdeen and the thread regarding lennox, i thought this was fairly apt.

have a go and see what you think/ how you do. this was posted on the american bulldog forum i am on. thought it was quite interesting! :D

just to show off i got it first time- but see how you get on. ;) the pictures move every time the link is opened, so you cant say "number 3"! ;) if you click on the picture you think is the pit then it will reveal the breed.

happy hunting! ;) xx

I have seen a similar one of those, agree it is very interesting and I bet a lot of "joe public" pick the wrong breed. I was quite suprised that it said the "Olde English Bulldog" was apparently the one most picked. Not sure about their definition of a Patterdale.

''It took you -1316844821 seconds, and 1 attempt to find the Pit.''
Hmmm tricky! LOL
Cant belive some of the breeds on there would be in the running as possibles....a vizz...really? And amazing if people really do pick an old english as the pit most! Or that it takes an average of 8 attempts!

The first dog you picked was . It took you -1316845143 seconds, and 1 attempt to find the Pit. The dog most commonly picked is the Olde English Bulldogge, and the average time is 1 minute 43 seconds with 8 attempts.

Dog warden I know has had Akitas reported as pit bulls *sigh*

I like the Thai ridgeback! And the er, albino, Patterdale?!

That would be the fluffy pit bull then? jeeez

The first dog you picked was Boerboel. It took you 20 seconds, and 6 attempts to find the Pit. The dog most commonly picked is the Olde English Bulldogge, and the average time is 1 minute 43 seconds with 8 attempts.

Phaha. in my defence.....

No, I have no defence.
... Someone told my bdog was a pitt once & I nearly cried!

i'd expect most on here to have a fair idea.... but it is scary that the so called "experts" have no idea and can and will seize innocent dogs.

(especially as i own a bull breed! :( )

jo public only needs to see a well muscled dog with a strong frame and a blocky head to cry type. :(

I did get it right at the first attempt but only because Ive seen photos on other sites.

Both my daughter and her boyfriend had about 6 goes before they found it, I also liked the Thai Ridgeback but dont think I would like to own one.

22 secs and got the pit on my second attempt - I didn't scroll down and thought I had to pick one from each line til I realised!! - I should have been given an extra brain cell, honestly!

It dosent help that they've used a puppy picture of a Pit and full grown pictures of the other breeds. It took me two attempts but only because one of the dogs looks just like the pit that the moron over the road has.

YAY! And I don't even like them much. I think could be fooled by the chunky ones that have the cropped ears but why most people picked the Olde English Bulldog I've no idea as it's nothing like a Pit

thats a very dangerous accusation to throw around. :( especially as the one which you picked first looks like this "pit" and clearly wasn't?

I also got it right first time, though it would have been a little harder if the photo had been amongst staffies staffie x's and mastiff x's! Please viz', akita!!!

I will point out though that the DDA makes reference to pit bull 'TYPE' it does not have to be the specific breed if the individual dog meets enough of the same characteristics etc as a pit bull it is still an illegal dog.

What needs to happen is a re-write of the DDA, a pit bull is as dangerous as a mastiff or a staff or any dog with large muscular jaws in the wrong hands.
