Pick your breed: KC quiz, just for fun!

I thought it was rubbish, I wanted a large dog, 2hours exercise a day with a short coat and what did I end up with, a English Toy Terrier:D

The one I did last night I ended up with a Toller:eek:

Golly, don't know what I put wrong, but it found no breeds for me!

I currntly have a GSD and have previously had a Rottweiler and a Boxer !!!

Terriers must be the 'in' thing ...........

I got Dandy Dinmont, Irish Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Glen of Imaal Terrier, the Kerry Blue and the Welsh Terrier..........

So many terriers, but I'll stick to my Border, thank you very much! ;):D

Well it got the black and tan bit right.:D I've done these before and they never come up with shepherds, I'll have another go now.

Have gone through the quiz again having found the breed specifics for labradors on this page: http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/services/public/breed/display.aspx?id=2048

Have entered all answers according to what they say on the lab page and expected to come up with a lab as an option. But no, have come up with a load of miniature dogs including chihauhau, dachsund, chinese crested and pug. Complete and utter rubbish!

Its crazy, I said large, lots of exercise etc and the only reasonable sized were catalan sheepdog and American water spaniel, the result were blooming toy breeds. I wonder what you have to do to get one of the larger breeds?

Snap!
( & I've owned three of those breeds but currently have a Borzoi.)

It came up with 23 breeds, Vizslas werent there but parsons were, along with a lot of stuff I would never own in a million years! A few that I would but defiantely a rubbish thing, it comes up with such a wide range that dont fit the criteria I specified!!

Lots of tiny dogs of the varieties celebs carry around in handbags  !
Why ? Because I live in a flat/appartment
Said flat is HUGE, not in a tower block but up ONE flight of 13 stairs (Think along similar lines to a bungalow - all on one level but HUGE rooms). I live in the country, can commit 2+ hours daily for exercise. Groom every day. Prefer short haired and small or medium sized dogs. Have a large garden (plus miles of open countryside on my doorstep) and the thing comes up with pugs, chinese crested, mexican hairless and chihuahuas and the likes
The answers are SO very different if I click on "small house" rather than "flat/appartment. THEN I get interesting breeds like Beagles and Japanese Shiba Inu, Staffies, Smooth Collie etc.
I'll stick with my Staffie thankyou very much (although I DO LOVE Shibas :D)

Anyone draw the short straw and ended up with a batty bull terrier?:D:D
I got Bull Terrier AND Miniature Bull Terrier amongst others when I selected "Large Garden". Can't remember if I selected "Flat/Appartment" or "Small House" though. *wanders off to check* :D

*wanders back* It's when I select "Small House", and any size of garden as long as there IS a garden, that I get Bullys & Mini Bullys :D (I get a selection of 39 breeds with those house/garden selections).

Its not just you Littlewildone, I put large house and garden and still got toy breeds! :(

Snap! I put large house/garden and still got small dogs.

P

I just selected - More than 2 hours exercise/day,
"Not Sure" for coat type,
Groom every day,
No allergies,
Live in the country,
Large house
Large garden
Large breed
"Not Sure" for vulnerable breed

I got ALL 210 breeds listed  (I specifically ticked "Large" breed to see what happened) EVERYTHING from Toy and Miniature breeds , right up to the huge Mastiffs and Great Dane.
BUT....... What exactly is their definition of a large house and garden ? :)

Those of you who've replied, you've only listed 2-6 breeds. I got the choice of 42, and a good number I've never even heard of!

Amongst the 42, there were Sheepdogs, and Cocker Spaniels. Bingo, I have both!!

Alec.

I put in 2+ hours of exercise, large house & garden (don't have but stables counts as that), & country. Got 23 terrier breeds ranging from working breeds to toys & short haired collie!

Changed one thing, grooming from once a week to every day and got 78 breeds to choose from!! Including my beloved pointers!! Now I feel like a terrible owner as they "only" get a thorough going over with a zoom groom once a week!!:rolleyes:
