It just gets my goat when people take a photo on face value and say 'the farrier must take more hoof off', just dangerous IMO. I'm not saying it's a great trim, but could be the farrier took the heels down further than usual because his client was asking him to take more off, and had to then trim the frogs to be lower than the heels, who knows? We don't know the full story and I for one do not trust anyone who's not qualified/suitably experienced in trimming professionally, to give advice over the net, and most of those wouldn't give advice over the internet anyway because photos are so notoriously misleading! ok, mini-rant over now 
And yes, completely agree, no horse should bear all it's weight on the sole, the walls serve a purpose too.
