Plaiting help!

Can any one remind me how you plait to alter a horses appearance, ie. big ones, or lots or far apart.

Got a question for NVQ and I can't remember what does what!

I think it's lots of little plaits to make a short neck look longer and fewer, bigger plaits further apart to help a long neck look shorter. Hope that helps!

If the neck is long, then less plaits to make the neck look a little more in proportion .

If the neck is short then more plaits to give the appearance that it is longer .

And big ones with 'wings' to make a skinny neck look like it's got topline...

Size of plaits also helps. Big hooded plaits can make a weedy neck look better.

Plait upwards and roll high on the crest of the neck to make the topline look better. Plait downwards and roll slightly to the side to slim down the neck (hope that makes sense, easy to show but hard to describe!)

Saw that and thought of the clothing, and thought "what a good idea - cover him up completely!"

But I assume you meant the plaits...? Did nine last time and really think more would be better; can one do mini-hoodies?
