Playing with deer

Spotted a slightly larger thing with the deer this evening. Cassie had either been playing with the deer or chasing them. Tail stuck right in the air but sadly I was too far away to take video.

I remember years ago a very impressive stag was walking through the bottom of the field my horses are in, all four of mine chased it out of the field. It was so quick there was no chance to get photo or video.

I often get young muntjac in my horses field they quite happily all graze together, they do sometimes make the horses jump when they suddenly just appear through the hedge though.

It's that rule that a Muntjac is acceptable when grazing but is a slavering horse eating monster when you meet it on a hack.

Oh yes I totally agree, we have a huge herd of large deer round here and if I ever come across them while they are tearing around I am usually in trouble lol!

Mimosa plays with deer. We have two young deer that visit in the evenings and morning, and she will trot about with them and then graze next to them.

I do think that it is one of the reasons that she breaks out of jail though. The deer fly over the electric fencing and Mimosa wants to follow.

Tia has a lot of deer in her field. As she is such a good doer I'm pleased she has them to eat some of the grass.

We have deer, they used to spook then horses but I think they are used to them now. I saw a pure white one a few days ago, it was really beautiful! I assume it was some sort of genetic anomaly?
