ive had one for just over a year now, in honest- at first i questioned my sanity! he was awful to handle and a general git to be around, but has always been super behaved to ride! Now he is a little doll, absolutely handsome, huge amounts of personality - BUT you absolutely cannot tell him to do anything, it has to be his idea
clever little git, works out how to evade an aid something chronic, but it has made me 10x the rider as he doesnt give me an inch to get it wrong - but bloody hell does he try his heart out when you get it. He's a really unconfident chap in all aspects, so thats where half of his issues stem from, but he has improved tenfold now.
When i got him he was a nightmare to hack, was soo spooky and would be foaming and stressing after a 10 minute walk down the road and back, but can now hack out fine wherever, is great cross country, gets great scores dressage and is rarely out of the placings (competing unaff novice, aiming for elementary sometime and to go aff) has jump to burn, flies all sorts of cross country obstacles and is beautifully mannered out in open spaces, his only downside is his confidence, ive been told you either have one way or the other with welsh! i am so glad i took him on now, and am super excited for our future
this is him monday
