Hi all,
Just got in from having the vet out to Tigger. Turned up at the yard about 9.20pm to do the horses off and bring mine in for the night. I noticed he was being 'looky' and hesitant coming across the yard and blinking when brought in to the light of his stable. Looked closer and his 'good' eye was the size of a tennis ball.
(Tigger lost the sight in his other eye as a three year old).
Que massive hysteria and panicking. Vet came out very quickly and managed to find a small scratch on his cornea. Has given him anti-inflammatory injection and eye drops.
Poor little man is now on box rest for the following week with 4 x daily eye drops and bute.
Just desperate for healing vibes, for some reason I'd quite like Tigger to keep his remaining eye! Vet seemed confident as sure we caught it not long after it happened (last checked by YO about 5pm).
Please please please keep fingers, toes and hooves crossed for Tigger!
