As many of you are aware I moved yards a couple of weeks ago. All in all I am really pleased with my decision but I am a little worried about Ellie.
The horses do not have winter turnout as such, just a paddock allocated to each stable block, which can be used on 'dry' winter days for a few hours. Well Ellie has lived out until christmas when I brought her in with an abscess and to be honest I feel she is a bit low
She was living in a herd of about 8 horses and out 24/7 in about 15 acres. Now she is on her own in this little paddock, although she does have over the fence access to eight other horses. We have moved a little pony into the stable beside her as the YO spooked her and she refused to go in the stable (It's a long story
) but this pony has his own paddock and friends.
Do you think she will be ok? She looks so sad at times I could cry
They should be out 24/7 soon when she will get to mix with the others but with the weather the way it is at the moment it could be April before YO says they can go out.
Am I just being a bit over sensitive?
