Please spare a thought for Bounty today

I have just had some truly devastating news from her and I can only begin to imagine what she must be going through right now, so please spare a thought for her today.

Your presence I miss
Your memory I treasure
Loving you always
Forgetting you never.

Hi People...

Didn't realise Ginn was going to post this, but thankyou all so much for your thoughts and sympathies.

I lost Fee last night.

Not many of you will know this, but she underwent colic surgery just over 3 weeks ago for a epiploic foramen entrapment. It is quite rare, but unfortunately one of those things that i much more likely to happen again once it has occured a first time.
Anyway, last night she colic'd again. I had already made the decision that I wouldn't put her through 2 lots of surgery, but was persuaded to take her into hospital for more diagnostics and so that she was in place for fluid therapy etc if by some miracle it turned out not to be a surgical case this time.
Surgery was her only hope, so I made the decision to call it a day. She was PTS at 11.30pm last night, a year and 3 days after losing my beloved Tills to colic.

I am super, super proud of my wonderful Little Ginge, she turned out to be an absolute star and I wouldn't swap our 2 years together for anything. I am so grateful that I had the chance to have her - big thanks go to Groomsbridge for match making us in the first place.

How bloody awful for you Bounty. I'm sorry you've lost her so soon after you lost Tills. Life just sometimes doesn't seem fair :(

Bounty, I am so sorry to hear your terrible news. What a beautiful horse and what a sad, sad loss. You are in my thoughts today.

Oh M, seeing her pic has made me well up again. Such a lovely girl, she got prettier by the day. Cant believe she is gone.

Just to add - Post mortem results have come back to say that it was another epiploic foramen entrapment, but involving a lot more gut than last time. There was approx 6ft strangulated and damaged to the point it was black. It would have involved a massive resection which would have left her with a v poor prognosis. They said they would have advised me to have had her PTS on the operating table if they'd opened her up and found that.

Thank you again for all your support and best wishes. X

Try to keep your chin up, hard I know and remember like you say all the good times you had. x
