Some of you might know of the various issues I've had with my boy - short background he is a 19 year old ISH, few lameness issues (arthritis in front feet and hocks, mild kissing spine). Anyway, he is now unshod and doing pretty well, and has been coming back into consistent work really well
He is so much perkier and happier in his work - in a way it makes me feel awful as he must have been sore before and I didn't realise. He's such an earnest, happy boy, and his lameness didn't become apparent until about 18 months after I got him, but I can only assume he was never quite right
but he is doing so well now, I am just thrilled with him.
But I am so thrilled with him now. He is so enthusiastic, keen, eager, bouncy and just seems to enjoy his work. Put him out in the field and he was just so full of himself, galloping, bucking, rearing, spinning, and generally having a fab time with his friend. Happily I had my camera on hand and got a video and some pics of his exploits. Here he is with his chum Cooper:
So pleased with my boy, hopefully we will have many more sound days to come *fingers crossed*
