If you place your hand between neds ears, do you feel a “bony lump”, presumably the poll? It feels horrible so I went round our barn and felt on the rest - the other Warmblood (about 11yrs old) has same, but not as prominent as my horse (3yr old). If you cupped your hand and curled your fingers as though over a lip of something it’s about as large as that. The Shetland I couldn’t tell cos of all his mane and forelock and general bushiness. My friend has a 4yr old which also it quite prominent - not as much as mine but more than the older horse.
It feels like a stupid question and I’m almost feared to ask if it’s an area they grow into, like knitted knees and the obvious sign of bum highness….I’m feared as he’s already 17hh ???
