We've had daughter's pony for nearly nine months and last weekend was the first time that it was a problem for us that she was in season. She became very jumpy - at one point skating around the yard, wouldn't stand still, weeing every few yards - so we put her back in her paddock and she wasn't ridden for a couple of days. Midweek daughter had lessons on her and she was fine. But yesterday we had to abandon a hack because unpredictably all the 'in season' symptoms returned, she wouldn't stand still, resisted the bridle and kept on inelegantly weeing especially when she passed by a paddock with a one and a two year old mare.
Her 'neigh'bour (for the past two months) is a suspected rig.
If her seasons remain a problem what would you consider doing? Seems to be a lot of products out there. Has anyone got a pony mare that has exhibited the same behaviour? What did you do?
