Hi, I was wondering if you guys think a pony/cob saddlepad would fit a 16 hh horse. Thanks!

Depends on the shock of your saddle. I can’t imagine a horse that size being in a 16/16.5” seat.

Pads don't "fit", they just lay over the horse and work or don't. They're really not recommended for adult riders though some get away with them. They must fit the rider most importantly, I can't see why a small pad wouldn't be okay on a large horse but I'm wondering why....?

I was assuming OP meant pad as in square shaped numnah

It’s usually due to seat size I know a large is usually 16.5 - 17.5 so pony one would probably only fit smaller saddles

Also depends on the make as some are much bigger than others even although they are supposedly the same size.

! And yes, it's 100% about the saddle, must be big enough for the saddle not to sit on binding, which will depend on the cut and the front as well as the size, with a smaller horse sometimes you'd worry about it swamping them, or rubbing on the group if too long (and especially if the horse curves up behind the saddle) but otherwise, no worries.
