Dry Rot

I have a tractor and I have harrows but since learning that worm eggs can survive for over 12 months and even at sub-zero temperatures, it worries me to do it. Fine where the climate is sunny and dry, but in the humid climate of the UK?
Also, harrowing might be OK where pastures can be rested, but for how long? Sorry to worry you!
I think harrowing can be fine, but it all depends.
