The bleeding has stopped, all wounds clean and dry at the moment and she enjoyed her breakfast with added bute but not so much her antibiotic injection administered by OH because I couldnt bear to stick a needle that size in my baby!
However, I have just received a phone call to say that Daisy is bullying Ellie. I can only imagine that Daisy senses that Ellie is weak and is trying to assert herself as top horse. Luckily lady who rang me is going to move Ellie into the other paddock to get her away from Daisy. The last thing we need are more injuries caused by Daisy kicking/biting.
As if poor Ellie hasnt got enough to put up with.
Is it common for horses to pick on a weaker member of the herd?
