Bay mare, good jumper. Jumps 5ft metal gates from standstill for fun, wearing multiple rugs. Unrugged would probably clear 6 foot. Unrugged and with a run-up that isn't solid ice with 3 inches of snow on top, could probably manage higher.

Rears in stable over dividing (8 ft) wall because this is (apparently) a more amusing way to attract owners attention than the more conventional method of whinnying sweetly over door.

Terribly untidy in stable. Anything left within 10 feet of door will be pulled into stable/upended/strewn about yard. If you think something is safely out of reach you are probably wrong, and Porridge will gladly prove this to you - usually on the night that YO is about to witness devastation.

Brilliant at emptying full wheelbarrows, with training could possibly be encouraged to empty them somewhere useful.

Has no fear of electric fencing, views it as a challenge. Yet to be beaten by any configuration of fencing.

Asbo horse - Free to anyone who needs cheering up

Will swap for horse who despite having haylage has lent over fencing and trashed neck cover whilst trying to reach dead grass on far side of fence which is the only thing not covered by snow.

I think she is revelling in her new asbo-queen status

Indeed I think she is! I cannot wait to come and see her and you when this weather has gone, I wonder if she will remember my electrified lunge whip.....;)

Are you the reason she goes mental on the lunge if I pick up a whip?!

I had better answer that honestly...nope, she got off on the shocks

Actually cannot say I ever remember her being at all bothered about lunge whips, but then again I never lunged her

I was diligently (well, til the school froze) pessoa-ing her but dont need the services of a whip, she's bad enough without one - pick one up and she goes off on a wall of death complete with broncs which threaten to make a cats cradle of the pessoa. I do believe that between us, P and me are the source of much sad tutting and shaking of heads at our yard

sounds like your mare and my daughters gelding have been in correspondance.......... spent yesterday afternoon trying to catch him after he fence hopped all over the place. And my mare.........well she's been throwing party's in her stable and it seems that everyone was invited!!!

Think it must be something to do with the weather and I guess the horses are as fed up of it as us lol

Better to be talked about than forgotten about

I just love the fact that she has morphed into this completely different horse, it is great hearing about her exploits! I truly believe you and her were meant to be together and she has finally found herself...shame that *self* is not a little better mannered, but hey ho, you cannot have it all LOL!

Mmmm sounds like my "angelic" mare at the moment, who lost her temper at her next door neighbour last night and almost got tangled in the yard gate.... as for lunging with lunge whips are you sure porridge and Ru have not compared notes as that sounds remarkably familiar.

I am putting the lost of my usual dope on a rope down to the enforced box rest...... it is the only thing I can think of ( and any excuse will do!!)

Our pony is a saint in comparison

but she has decided to swing her bucket of water (put into her manger because automatic drinkers are frozen) around her head and then fling it out of the stable

LOL I was just thinking it didn't sound the the same horse I met when you had her Weezy!! Didn't know she had it in her!!! It is funny hearing about all her misdemeanors!

What a character! I'm quite envious of you Mavis as she is such a lovely mare!
