Sorry BBs, missed this post! Thanks for that, will keep up with the good old green stuff and keep fingers Xed. It WOULD have to rain now wouldn't it, think I will be sticking to the tracks rather than any muddy field work

Oh lordy - poor girly! What a fab ponio though! B's coronet injury took 11 months to fully grow out and even then because of the lack of support underneath the new horn, the lower came away and her foot had to be filled a bit for nailing a show to for the grading! Has she had any AB's?
 
get some aloevera on the corenet wound. when our lad had his accident he was out in the field within 4 weeks (major damage) and has not scarred, and the wound on his corenet band didnt cause anyproblem at all, vet decided it the wounds were to big to stitch so pressure bandaged them and we put aloevera on it every time the bandages came off which was every day as he liked to rip them off with his teeth.

i cant recommend the stuff enough, but try and get it as pure as you can. we have an aloevera plant so ours was 100% pure
