Just hoped for some opinions from all you knowledgeable lot on two possible horses. For a little bit of background, my ideal horse would be:
a confidence giver to do a bit of everything. Build my confidence SJ/XC/ODE etc
Must not fizz up too much in company/fast hacks etc
Be sharp and brave enough for playing horseball with him/her as well and perhaps try hunting in time..?
Absolute max 4k to spend - would want tack/wardrobe inc ideally for that though.
and if we're talking really perfect, then ideally no greys/coloureds/bright bay! < just personal preference!!
I've had a share horse for several years, and ridden many others for friends etc but this will be my first "own" horse.
Anyway, have been to see one which was lovely and I will be going up again over Christmas:

my only issue was that she was very sensitive and light in the hand, and very tense to begin with. the current owners assured me that she is like this with all new riders, and is very much a one-person horse. to be fair, when I watched the owner ride she was much more settled and dropped into an outline in trot (not so much in canter...!). they seems v honest and said they'd want me to come and see her a lot of times to really get to know her and get her going nicely before considering buying. I just think maybe a horse that is that sensitive would really hate horseball? any opinions?

The other option I havent' seen yet, but will email the owner again later today. He's only 5 though, which was a little younger than I had planned...

Hope those links work...!

Anyway, any opinions on either, or alternative suggestions are very welcome!
Candy canes if you got this far!

I really like Saffy...my little one is called Saffi too lol. She seems lovely however is she from a dealer? if so ask people if they have any experience good or bad from them and if I were you Id ask for a 2 month trial or something, this happened to me, I bought a horse from a dealer, I did everything with him got him home and he was a nightmare! Just a bit of advice, the grey also looks nice too, do you know the owners name by any chance just a know of a couple of people in Moat view riding club. x

I LOVE Saffy.....but then I guess I am slightly biased towards ex-polo ponies!!!!

I like the look of the other one but do you think he'll be forward going enough for horseball? I wonder if you might need something sharper. I'm used to horses that are really fizzy though.

I'm going to look on horsemart now since I'm only pretending to do work!

hmmmmm yeah you might be right - thing is i'm abslutely terrified of over horsing myself - would feel like such a numpty! Trick is finding a horse that is sharp enough for horseball but not going to kill me the first time I try hunting ...!

Actually I really like the grey - looks better when the rider allows a bit more too - except you said you didn't want a grey? ... I would be very tempted to go and have a look though
