What's everyone up to?

I've started early, Kira has been for a lesson, met up with some other HHOers and generally had a nice - if boiling - time. I'll try and put some video up in a bit.

Salty has her baby horse clinic this evening, hoping she can behave herself and be a bit less jolly than last time, it'll be really hot as indoors again ;)

Quiet day tomorrow catching up with work, then Saturday Kira has another PSG, it's the nemesis judge again, lol but this time we are going to face up to it! Had a good laugh today with Adam predicting how low the score is going to be. It doesn't matter at all, her qualifications are all done and we just need practice now so it'll be worth it either way :D

Might find somewhere nice for a hack on Sunday, then Salty has a test riding clinic on Tuesday. Phew!

Nothing much! Physio tomorrow as hes working so hard at the minute. Super storm/physio dependant he will be doing something fun. Probably canter work now its softened up. Hes still in the good books from last weekend so wont be doing anything too arduous!

Helping a friend as B.S. on Sat morning, judging showing Sunday morning (and regretting agreeing to do it!).
Otherwise chewing fingers in advance for NFs scan booked for end next week, and trying not to purchase a 2nd additional mount!

Good luck to those competing :)

Ooh ! Good luck with TJOD MP, she could surprise you !

We are taking Aria BE again . Stepping up to the 90 at Brand . Fingers crossed she goes well, although slightly concerned about the weather with all these floods/rain predicted

TFF , buying a second horse sounds like a great idea

Mine are getting their tootsies done tomorrow - hoping I can rope someone in to bring them in for me, as I still can’t walk on uneven surfaces very easily.

Saturday, I’ll have some pony pats, maybe some grooming if I’m feeling extra stable.

Sunday I’ll probably be admiring from afar only :/

I’ve just advertised Blitz for a demi pension, so I have my fingers crossed I may get some interest over the weekend.

Ooh good luck with the scary judge milliepops.

Not much for us this weekend - we've been doing a lot lately so taking a quiet couple of weeks, doing some basic schooling and a bit of hacking.

Off to leahurst with Polly tomorrow to have her ovaries scanned.

Saturday will probably be a quiet day, Diva will hack and not sure what Polly will be doing as it depends what is found at the hospital.

Sunday I am off to a farm ride with Diva and my friend and her cob.

I'm trying out polocrosse with JFTD :D. Under riding experience I did put 'never ridden a polo pony' that meant please give me a nice one!

Good luck to everyone - especially those waiting for diagnosis, hoping for positive outcomes.
Quite one for me as just back from hols, so a lesson on Saturday and thinking of beach on Sunday (if I can talk hubby into coming along to help).

We have a long weekend this weekend and it's full of horse plans. Tonight I have a lesson with Coolie, tomorrow both boys need to be ridden, bathed and plaited. Sunday we have a combined training day, Coolie is going to practice and to work on our tension issues and it's Henry's first proper competition! I am very excited.

Monday we have an eventing grand prix, I guess the equivalent of arena eventing in the UK. I am really looking forward to it, hopefully it doesn't rain too much.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Howdy - good luck for those out and about, and hope those who are crook or have horses who are a bit crook, get some good news.

Am loving our lessons at the moment. Did some fab work yesterday and he felt so good. Instructor is really working some magic with us and is helping establish the basics for us to move onto to slightly higher level stuff, although by that I mean from Prelim to novice, as Im not very experienced in that respect. Wish we could do the same on our own, or when we’re out competing, but hey I need something to beat myself up about don’t I . Quiet one this weekend, prob hack out and then jump lesson on Sunday.

I'm planning to hack tonight as unlikely to be able to ride tomorrow as going to a family event.

Most of Sunday will be spent at a music festival, but planning to hack early morning. The benefits of Summer mornings :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Got one at the vets today having Xrays

First attempt at discovery tomorrow with the other one!

Quiet non-horse day Sunday I think!

I've been at my Mum and Dad's doing nothing most of the week, so I'm quite looking forward to going home (this afternoon) and getting back to normal this weekend. Plan to ride tomorrow, see my retired ponies for a fuss both days and do some yoga.

sounds like some nice weekend plans coming along. Hope all the broken WP-ers horse and human are making good progress too.

As promised here's a bit of video from our lesson yesterday (trotwork, developing piris and tempis) and some stills to brighten the post up :D
So pleased with K at the moment, it's not all sweetness as she's a bit hormonal again at the moment so now and then the brakes slam on but on the whole I feel like she's trying her socks off.

Salty also managed to not disgrace herself too badly, one small attempt to reverse out from underneath me and a few spooks but better than last time

My 4yo got her first BN double clear on Wednesday night and won her class :)

Raz had a lesson yesterday. We’ve finally been allowed to use our double bridle so it will be making its debut tomorrow at SNEC. Off to have a quick run through shortly as I only learned the test the other day and I spent my lessons doing lateral work. :o

Vet was here this morning so I’ve only got one rideable horse at the moment.

Not sure what Blue’s done but he’s hopping lame in trot so back on box rest. Henry’s lame behind (we’ve been unsure about it for a while) so has to go for a lameness workup next week and then the other two have just had their hocks medicated.

So All the pressure is on Raz this weekend. Hopefully we’ve gotten past last weekend’s abismal effort.

Don't worry, all the hirelings are pretty sensible - you'll likely have to use your legs a bit though!

I was "coaching" our Pony Club Champs team this morning. Came home with a pounding headache and fell asleep while watching the UK matches from Ireland on facebook.

Training tomorrow, taking Fergus for rara who's in the beginners group with Ester, and my mare for the fast-scary-insane group.

Yeah we're bringing drink and snacks to watch you show us what we should have been doing :D :D

I just thought well my riding experience isn't bad but I might not know where the buttons on yours are was the right response :D

Oh good. You can keep an eye on Fergus who'll be tied up on the horse lines as he won't stay in the trailer (in car park 5 minutes walk away) alone :eek3: Although I've just checked who's in my group and it's actually quite a nice little group. There's one lad who's crazy-good though, so if you watch him, you'll see how it should be done!

Totally! But they're used to occasional people who don't really ride trying to play, so they have pretty forgiving buttons. They're not wild high goal polo ponies who turn 360 on the spot because you clenched your buttock :eek3: Which is just as well, or poor Fergus wouldn't be able to keep up!

Worked today :( A bit murderous- literally! But off to play with Fergus and co :D And then in the afternoon hopefully I’ll take C for another fitness run :D T - 4wks until his first 2* HDT.

Have a great time at polocrosse guys, look forward to a group report :p

Kira faced The Judge Of Doom today, who was characteristically doomy but she made a good effort, won the bronze section and I was really pleased with her esp as it was totally boiling and energy sapping in the heat. Looking forward to test riding with another list 1 next weekend to see whether TJOD is really as much of an outlier as I think ;) Does seem that way but I guess it pays to check :)

Raz and I faced our own judge of doom today and came out relatively unscathed :o

63.09% and 4th, which I’m happy with (I only learned the test on Tuesday and didn’t manage a full run through thanks to a certain ginger pony being naughty).

He felt so much more rideable in the double so I’m hoping that’s the way forwards.

Well done to everyone - some good results :)

Good luck /well done to those competing. Polo X sound fab, I’d love a go.
Had lesson yesterday. Instructor had watched videos of SJ and XC from last week, (where we had a double clear and came 4th) fed back regarding my riding technique , (I’m crap!) which could be slightly demoralising, but what is more frustrating is that all the lessons I’ve had from previous instructors over the years (and all the money I’ve spent on them) never picked up on these issues and corrected them! Anyway we have a plan and a way forward so I’m hoping that my jumping technique will improve from now on. Hopefully in 12 months I can show a much improved jumping Reacher video!

Today I did scoring for RC dressage and this afternoon I will do some paddock weed killing and maybe go for hack later.

Just got back from an afternoon out at a farm ride. Diva’s not been out since last July but she loaded ok, bit sticky, but always is. She was on board in less than 5 minutes so I was pleased.
Enjoyed a short hack around the Farm ride, then back to the wagon for a picnic lunch while ponies munched on hay. Then headed home.

It was so lovely to be back on the road in the wagon with the Diva on board.
