Dare I say, I think a lot of these youngsters if they have generally been on the best of the best through ponies have parents with VERY deep pockets or know the right people/are born into the right families who in turn have established connections to help leg their little darlings up

So if they do have to stand on their own 2 feet or mummy and daddy stop funding them, they get a rather rude awakening. It also seems to be a go to for some kids these days, i hate how much smoke is blown up influencers arses for example

Obviously some work their way up but it feels like to get to the top especially in ponies, which seems to be the launchpad, you need to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth either by way of an established family, or one with very deep pockets. Look at who bought Gio for example (although I know it was obviously very sad about her dad). Where is she and he now btw? I can't imagine an Olympic medal winner leaving you much change

That's odd. I am not a friend of Tyler but can still see all the comments that I saw yesterday, including the ones saying Tyler's statement is libellous etc and the chain of comments under that. I wonder if it's a fb glitch, or maybe there were more supporting comments that I didn't see yesterday.

There certainly are 3 sides to every story! Or 2 sides and the truth.

There's a post up saying it's no longer public

Jaeger would pop up on my Insta account with MD riding him and he never looked like a welfare case. Not the best shaped bottom on him but impossible to tell from short reels if that's training or just him

There were several yesterday I remembered reading that I can no longer see - there was definitely one from a lady who said she had her horse kept with MD on 3 occasions between 2021-2025 and had no concerns and posted pictures, and others from someone who MD used to work for and various other positive testimonials from people who had worked with her challenging the claims. And a screenshot someone had shared of a message they’d received from MD when they’d queried the GFM where she said there was no welfare case, it was a financial fall out and that she had her own evidence she would be sharing in due course.

The ones challenging the horses condition that have been argued are still up but I can’t see the others from her ex-clients and employer unless anyone else can.

Ah ok, I do remember those from yesterday, and you're right, don't think they are there now.
 
I'm confused by the time line I assumed the go find me video was filmed in the last week but other comments seem to be suggesting the horse is already with a new rider and being worked - which doesn't add up with the emmacciated claims -?! Who is TB & do they have any claim over the horse. All very odd. Hope the horse lands on his hooves!

As someone who has loaned out low value animals on several occasions and have also paid friends a percentage of any sold by them, I can not fathom why there was a very specific contract in place, there seems to be a grey area here, that covers just about any situation for such a high value animal.
I think the share situation muddied the contract, in most loan contracts the there is a statement that the animal remains the property of the owner, and there must be clear way to protect ownership and rights of a majority shareholder.
If the person loaning has had this animal for such a long time why were parents not involved in the contract, I have had parents withdraw from a loan when they read in the proposed contract they had to pay to insurance for the pony. If it really worth that much money I would have wanted it to have a vets inspection at least once a year.
The 'nicest' can decide to do things you do not agree with in the care of your animal and you should have a right to take back your property. I think the GFM was just ill advised and I am not sure if she wants another animal on competition loan it will help her get one. Who would want a social media sh!t storm?
From personal experience I find young females sometime think they can treat you how they treat their parents and when you set boundaries they often feel like they are a victim.
 
LZ started trying to sell her shares in Olaf in mid 2024, the adverts are on the Philyrides facebook page. She didn’t succeed, perhaps she was asking for too much money. Maybe this is the reason she has now removed Olaf from MD’s yard - to force the closure of the syndicate and the sale of all shares? That would be a risky strategy. Who knows what Olaf/ would or would not make at auction, especially now that his situation is public. Why doesn't LZ now sell her shares to MD at a fair price? Save Olaf the trauma of export?

MD has every right to set up a go fund me. She has been transparent. People can make their own decisions about whether or not to donate.

They poster may have removed their own comments rather than TB being responsible.

I think TB has been a bit unwise. I can't be bothered to go and read it again, but I seem to remember her post began with the claim that horses had been 'seized' which i originally took to mean that a welfare charity had been involved, when in reality she was referring to the fact that she'd removed her own horse. Then claimed the horse was emaciated which it clearly wasn't.

The more I read, the more it all feels like a personal beef and probably should have been kept off SM. At least it did alert people thst the GFM may not have been what MD claimed i suppose.

What a mess!

Fully agree that TB's post - and some of her replies to comments - are unwise. Facebook is not the place to accuse someone of horse abuse and criminal assault.

It was absolutely written this way, and also as if there was an upcoming legal prosecution. Having not known this person existed previously, now my only impression is uh... unreliable narrator, shall we say.

Theres comments saying exactly that from a few people. I was told it was unfair to say anything about this was scammy. And yet here we are.

The whole thing needs to be kept off of social media and i’m sure in time the truth will all come out eventually whatever that may be, but for now it all just feels like tit for tat. If Tyler wants to show everyone what she is like with the horses (if it is true, which if it is then yes everyone needs to know) she needs actual evidence and to post it somewhere where everyone can see, not just a post on facebook where clearly people are going to side with the person they’re ’friends’ with.

Its not about the condition. Its about the horses being left for days with no hay/water/feed. And theres evidence. But its part of a court case so cant be put on FB. its on social media as shes about to make at least 40k whether she keeps the horse or not and its forced peoples hands.

The evidence cant be made public, its why the photos of the horses are a bit weird as well.

I found the whole thing felt very much scammy from the start but was then gutted when I found out how bad it was because its yet another "good" person found out to not be what she says she is.

But theres not really anything more to be said at this point and quite honestly people still defending her makes me very uncomfortable, just based on the GFM alone. I appreciate that the other stuff isn't available publicly and cant be verified by most people here, but it exists and its very clear. So I guess time will reveal it all, but in the meantime shes made at least 40k off the back of people donating under false pretences of who someone is and how horses are treated. And of course if she doesnt return the donations over £25 shes made 60k and people are still donating. It makes me feel a bit sick for those involved and for all the other places that could use that 60k and actually do some good with it and for yet another fallen equestrian star.

in the nicest possible way -what you wrote about gelding him was absolute 100% tripe, so why is anyone going to take anything further from the same source seriously?

if you really do know something no one else does you can sit back smugly when it all comes to light but so far you haven't painted your *inside info* in the best light.

(and in now way is this me supporting anyone in particular I just wish people would stop muddying the water further by being desperate to be involved and making incorrect and/or wishy washy vague "you'll all see" statements)

Tbh how either of them rides doesn't matter to me at all. Being a "good" rider doesn't make one a better person or vice versa (and tbh a lot of people online that have been sold to me as "lovely riders" don't spark joy 😂)

Tyler is an exceptional rider and coach, having trained several horses to international GP from scratch. They are all happy, easy horses that do a variety of work including sj and xc and are easy enough for more novice riders! That is really quite rare and true testimony to Tyler’s management and horsemanship.

In my opinion and from what I can see, the condition of the horses is really quite poor. No, they aren’t emaciated but the dramatic and rapid loss of top line and overall coverage is quite evident, often caused by stress. The withers should not resemble a shark fin!
Very sad that so many horse owners cannot recognise this!

Absolutely, and not the condition a horse who is training at the higher levels should be in! A newly backed 4 year old possibly! But not at that age and stage!
