I think it would be of benefit to talk about and treat young adults as adults, not 'kids'. Children do unreasonable stuff, it's not quite the same when an adult does it. Infantilizing adults, albeit fairly young ones, is not a great way to get them to act as adults.

The GFM didn’t reach the target which was apparently the syndicates asking price, I read it as MW made up the difference and the horse is now owned by MD and MW. Just what I read into it though!

Well from what I remember, MD was always a part owner and one of the original syndicate members. So presumably she and MW have bought LZ share. I dunno, I do think donors deserve transparency, but I know that sometimes sales agreements have clauses that the price can't be disclosed...

Also, I think this is why LZ is now posting that she has parted ways with MD - because she's now been paid and is no longer an owner.

Needed a distraction just now and remembered to look to see how Jaeger Bomb is doing.
The IG posts which show comparisons between December 25th and Feb 7th of the canter pirouttes especially are really upsetting and disappointing to see from someone claiming to be about ethical training.
He was more open in his frame but looks now almost consistently nose to chest, so far BTV, still grabbing and running through changes though seems tighter now and more held too.
I wouldn't normally comment randomly about something like this, and I don't know any of these people personally, but there was so much blatant and public disparagement about how he had been going, and how he's going so much better now... Really? I don't see it myself I'm afraid.

No mention of that to my knowledge... Still seems to be with LZ, last post about wanting owners to aim for 'the Olympics' was around Christmas I think.
Poor chap looks like he would do well to just be hacked for a bit and forget all about the current stress of the school and dressage training in my opinion.

After the whole saga I ended up following them all on IG. LZ posted a story the other day lungeing all her horses in an insanely tight chambon and side reins, it made me wince and I’m pretty open minded. I can see why they all end up so tense and overbent.

I didn’t see your post sorry, but I was shocked too! I’ve seen posts with them using the chambon normally (I’m not a fan but hey ho) but on the stories they had their heads literally pinned between their front legs, I was shocked someone would post it tbh.

As title. I saw this on an Instagram story. It looks like a chambon but there's no discrete attachment to the bit, it's just clipped to the headpiece?
(I also think it's horrid and teaches the horse nothing worthwhile.)

Yep that’s the one although the post I saw was 2 horses being lunged in the indoor and also strapped up in tight side reins at the same time with some explanation I don’t remember about why they liked to use side reins with the chambon. So clearly a regular practice.

I did think it's no wonder MD was so desperate for Olaf not to get sent there, I'd be heartbroken. The videos of him training back with MD are worlds apart from JB's way of going with LZ.
