Well that was a nailbiting afternoon! I absolutely adore Banzai and great to see them lift the individual title. I was disappointed he wasn't on the team - but then again, hard to leave the Badminton winner off the team ?‍

Ros's was the performance of the week for me though - two incredible rounds of jumping.

Also an impressive performance from Gaspard Maksud making his team debut for France finishing on his dressage score.

Wow Yasmin! Ros was just as sublime. So so close for the team medals. Would have felt sorry for MJ if it hadn't been a Brit who benefitted! He still gets team gold.

Yes, she works in partnership with the German military (as is fairly common in France, Germany and Italy)

Just did the maths - if Yas had been on the team instead either Ollie or Laura, and everything else happened the way it did, we'd have won team gold by 11.4 penalties.

I wondered the same. She didn’t realize at one point that she had just seen a rider fall. I know she was once a brilliant XC rider but she was not a good commentator. I heard her admit several times that she was not current on eventing rules and scoring.

I am wondering if Lucinda has memory related issues? She seems to be able to recall the long term past very easily and animatedly but not the short term so well. I hope it's just the pressure/excitement of the day & nothing more serious than that.
