Pre Christmas Weekend Plans

Hope so 🤞🏻🙂

I’m planning on taking him to the big Hogmanay show next weekend so will pop round the discovery the first day (new bit and feeling a little too good just now) and then if that’s ok we’ll move up to the newcomers so I can keep my eye in for Beau coming back into work. 👌🏻

And now I’ve got it all planned something will go wrong 🙈

I can’t help myself, I have to add a voice of reason too. As a slightly crusty creaky old thing I’d also really stress how important it is to take care of yourself and heal properly. These things have a tendency to creep up on as you get older and cause longer term issues.

I listened, look- lunging! 😃 and off to London for Christmas so no riding (doc did say to weight bear in boot as able and pain totally gone so all good there)

thats 1.55m - I have no idea how the pros do a full course at that height 🤢

On the plus side, I now feel like we might actually make it round a Fox by next summer 🙂

Ooh BM did I miss news about a new horse, or is this your dads ride that you mentioned? That jump is wooooooooooooow.

Am I allowed to post pro pics if I’ve paid for social media use? 🤔
Yes :)

Will look forward to seeing them.

We had a great arena hire this morning with a course of jumps left up from yesterday. I am trying to improve my position so that was the aim of today and apart from the odd jump where he jumped a bit funny I think my lower leg is getting more secure. Need more practise then will sort my hands out lol

How the hell do they do it? Out in 5 acres and somehow find a nail to stand on? On Christmas blinking day?

Anyway, thankfully it had lodged in sideways so was not in very deep at all, it came out very easily, was washed and poulticed and will have another look tomorrow to see if it needs a farrier or vet. So typical!

Oh no wheels, hope all turns out ok. I'm so paranoid about nails, I've practically named every single one on the property so I can do a head count every day. At least soggy ground gives some damage limitation though I suppose. Fingers crossed all well in the morning

Well there was nothing drawn out onto the poultice this morning, re-poulticed and out with a boot on. No heat in the foot or leg, no swelling in the leg - maybe too early for that but at least I'm home so can keep my eye on it.

He's him usual self which he wasn't when he came in last night bless him
