You'll find all the spec on the BE website in the rulebook which is in the downloads section (for future reference).

Prenovice is now called BE100. The dressage is prelim level so no lateral work or lengthening. The SJH is 1m with 2 fences at 1.15m. The XC is 1m. You know that there is now BE90 - even easier dressage and 90cm SJ and XC?

Dressage is somewhere between Prelim and Novice dressage, I dont think get asked to show any medium strides, just thinks like 10m loops and give and retake reins
SJ is generally around a 1m with two fences at 1.05m
XC is 1m, usually with a few technical fences like a step into water or step out, ditches perhaps, and combinations, often including skinnies. Events vary so best to ask around

Intro/BE90 = Dressage is similar to lower prelims. SJ 90cms, with one upright at 95cms, and one ascending oxer at 95cms. XC is 90cms maximum, with less technical combinations.

Pre-Novice/BE100 = Dressage is similar to higher prelims. SJ 1m, with one upright at 1m05, and one ascending oxer at 1m05. XC is 1m maximum, with some slightly more technical combinations than at Intro/BE90.

Hope that helps

thanks people have looked on the bhs website and found it very confusing
the cross country cource reading maily because it is talking about 4 seperate things to do a b c and d all sections are ment to be run one after the other but you have to wait for a minute after a and a 10-15 miute thing after c or somthing all very confusing it says at some points it is ment ot be done in either walk and trot maily section a and c i think compleatly confused by what it says is it ot a normal cross country cource or somthing

You would only come across the 4 phases a, b, c, and d on the xc if you were doing a BE100 3 day event (and there are only a couple of these at BE100). Virtually all events just have one phase of 'normal' cross country, usually about 4-5 mins long at the lower levels.
