I'm thinking of buying one of the Premier Equine 450g rugs in the sale but can't decide which one to go for.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Winter Buster 450 and the Buster 450X? (other then price)

Are they good rugs? I've always been a horseware fan but have heard great reports about PE rugs in the past. Are they quite true to size?

I think that one has a fixed neck, the other is removable ..great rugs and true to size. Nice and deep as well with a decent tail flap too.

Look on their website, it lists all their rugs - some are 1000 denier, some 1680 (?) some have fixed necks.

All mine have removeable neck covers so they are very versatile. I also have the liner for one of my boy's rugs, it clips on to a lightweight rug, making it lighter or heavier, depending on the weather :):):)

Thanks all, have decided on the rug, just can't decide what size now! How they compare size wise to Rhinos/Rambos?

My two horses will share it, one is a TB the other is a rather chunky ISH. Both fit in 6'6/6'9!

I bought a LW Premier Equine years ago and wasn't keen on the fit although recently bought the Buster 350X (removeable neck) and I'm very impressed. It's a deep rug, roomy on the chest and overall I'd say a bit more generous than Mark Todd rugs.

My mare is an ID and in a 6'9" normally although the Buster is slight too long -better that than too short though :)

Rug is very well made and the neck really keeps her snuggly warm and dry.

Thumbs up from me :)

I always but the detachable necks as PE rugs attatch so well its as good as a fixed neck and when it starts to warm up it can be taken off. I agree that the fit is alittle more generous than Mark Todd but pretty true to size. Great rugs, I have just ordered a 200 in the sale.

Just ordered my first one in the sale. Got a Bustino since there werent any medium weight Buster rugs in his size. Bought a liner too.

Hope it comes soon - need dry rug to help the rotation of soggy ones

wish i'd been here earlier  as I was looking for reviews on PE rugs... but have ordered anyway as sale price is good! I saw the winterbuster at Olympia, got the sales chat but resisted as the rug he tried to sell me seemed a bit much for a native cross (how to decide when it's too warm to wrap up a mostly hairy pony in a giant duvet?!) plus the thought of carrying it home on public transport with our other purchases! I,ve decided on the 300x, and still think it may be too much unless we get another really cold snap?
