...trekking!
Im going to go on a two day trekking spree around two weeks time and call me mad but I have done only one day of trekking and OMG did my back, lower legs, ankles and knees ache! So with two days of trekking (each lasting 6/7 hours in the saddle with a pub stop in between, plus I also have my normal riding lesson on the third day and possibly another ride on the fourth day!) I was thinking if building up my fitness might help or if its just a case of not being used to being in the saddle for that long?
I managed quite well on the one day trek but it was only towards the last 1 or 2 hours that I really began to ache.
I was wondering if fitness is the answer also would running up hills / stairs help or be of any benefit (cycling and swimming are not options for me LOL)? Plus should I try my stirrup length a bit longer not dressage length but longer than comfy length if you know what mean??
Any tips/advice please
P.S I only ride less than 2 hours a week
