That's actually a pretty good idea, most instructors spend most of the year glued to a mug of tea or coffee and its practical, useful and not too personalised. I think thats good...go for the mug!

The mugs on the website i put up earlier are fab, ive had a few done for present for owners on the yard with their racing colours on them, real good quality!

two of my clients clubbed together and bought me two sets of thermal vests and trousers,fantasic prezzie for all those cold eves stood in freezing arenas

I buy my (male) instructor Levi's from the Levi's outlet store when I travel to the US for business - about US$31 a pair, so much cheaper than in the UK... He'd rather have something practical than something purty and I am wholly with him on that!

Gift voucher is also a good idea, 'cause then you're not imposing your taste on someone else and they can make the choice of what they want / need.

I might get her a gift voucher, but theres only the one tackshop near us in London! Maybe for Robinsons or Rideaway tho...
