Well for anyone whos interested, I thought Id drop a quick post about our first intro. We had a great day and I was so pleased with my little horse; especially saying I was considering retiring him at the start of May
Our dressage was interesting, ended up with 37; but the ground was horrendous - couldnt hold Chance together at all so he just skated around on his forehand!
SJ went very well
(for Chance
), I got 4 faults as we failed to make the distance in a double, but it was expected as he's only very short striding.
The Xc course was horrendous, I was last to go after 2 days of heavy rain, the mud must have been 5 inches deep over the first 4 or 5 fences
. Fortunately my little Irish bog-trotter was golden, and didnt care in the slightest he popped around beautifully clear
. We got a shed load of time, but so did everyone else.
All in all we finished 13th, & a good day was had by all!
NB:4faulter, did you have a good day?
