My pony is a Haflinger and has very pink heals. He is on 24/7 turnout which has some really muddy areas at the minute, which he chooses to stand in?!?! Anyway, he has no signs at all of having any skin issues so I am inclined to leave him be as he is fine. Or do you think I should be putting some kind of barrier cream on to prevent problems? He doesn't have much feather so pig oil wouldn't really work. I do have udder cream and Sudocrem but I am reluctant to fix what isn't broken.
What would you do if it was your pony?
Thanks
