The only thing he loads really well in is a lorry for some reason, where he loaded first time
I think I may see your problem....not sure how to solve it though.
I had a strange old section C when I was a kid. A big lorry he'd walk up the ramp fine, a smaller one he'd be a bit hesitant but would load after a few minutes of resistance.....but he absolutely hated going into a trailer - to the point where he would rear up, bolt off, anything to not go in - he even broke my foot the morning of a show(my own fault for wearing trainers, I was young.).
He wasn't a young pony, he wasn't stupid and I have to say that a trailer was the ONLY thing in the world that made him act like this - we did all of the Handy Pony qualifiers and everything.
The only solution we had was to travel him everywhere in a wagon, it wasn't so hard for us as we were on a big livery yard and we had only been borrowing the trailer. I had always put it down to the fact that he was worried about banging his head, and he was only 13hh - maybe this is your problem?
