Problem Loader...

The only thing he loads really well in is a lorry for some reason, where he loaded first time

I think I may see your problem....not sure how to solve it though.

I had a strange old section C when I was a kid. A big lorry he'd walk up the ramp fine, a smaller one he'd be a bit hesitant but would load after a few minutes of resistance.....but he absolutely hated going into a trailer - to the point where he would rear up, bolt off, anything to not go in - he even broke my foot the morning of a show(my own fault for wearing trainers, I was young.).

He wasn't a young pony, he wasn't stupid and I have to say that a trailer was the ONLY thing in the world that made him act like this - we did all of the Handy Pony qualifiers and everything.

The only solution we had was to travel him everywhere in a wagon, it wasn't so hard for us as we were on a big livery yard and we had only been borrowing the trailer. I had always put it down to the fact that he was worried about banging his head, and he was only 13hh - maybe this is your problem?

Thanks for your reply, that could well be it. The fact that he had never been in a lorry before, but loaded straight away, made me think that it wasn't as much the journey, more the look of the trailer?

Will talk to the parents, as we are on the look out for a new trailer sometime in the future, so may ask to make it a wagon instead :P
