As many of you know i moved Ellie to a new yard at the beginning of March. I have owned her for 3yrs and never had any problem mounting her from a crate.
When we moved to the new yard they have a 'posh' mounting block (two levels with metal handrail etc). As the crate had stayed at the other yard I tried to use the yard block. Ellie was having none of it. We did loads of patient work walking up to it, standing, walking away etc. Sometimes I would mount elsewhere from the floor (with great difficulty I might add as I am getting on a bit
)and then just walk her up to it, dismount and then climb back on. She wasn't a bit bothered when I did this so I am pretty sure she is just messing me about.
Then one day when I walked to the box and climbed off she turned her bum away and wouldn't let me back on
I have since found a crate and would you believe it she is being stroppy over that too now and keeps turning her bum away when I climb on it!
Can anyone advise me on how to deal with this before it becomes a real issue. At the moment I have kept everything very low key but I can see it becoming a pain very soon!
Thanks
