I don't want to invest in a full set if they aren't as good as they seem, and i have no experience of their products.

Is there anything they arent particularly suitable for etc? Was thinking of a pair of combo boots and smb-3 sports for hinds for a 13.1 skinny legged pony for general use.

Any experiences please! ta

Have always used Pro Choice, we use them as everyday exercise wraps and for playing polo/polox. they last forever so are a very good investment. We have had ours for over 8 years now and they are still going strong.

They're brilliant and they come in piiiiiiink

You're lucky! I have found the velcro tabs are the weak point, they can fray quite badly and then they don't stick properly. I have never got more than 2 years out of a pair.

However I do think they are very good. I haven't used the combos, but they look well designed.

I would whole-heartedly recommend the Premier Equine SMB copies, they are just as good as the real thing, and a fraction of the price. I used to use them for polocrosse, but the only thing I wouldn't use them for is perhaps hunting and water schooling, as the mud and water would make them heavy.

Just to add, I have had several pairs of both brands, over several years!

Like you I the some of the Premier Equine SMB copies but I found the stitching is going on them. On my pro choice ones I always wash them inside out (in the washing machine) and velcro them together. This way I find the velcro doesn't fray and it doesn't affect the stickability of the straps.

i love my ones they were fab for my TB. i have a pair of pin and black ones i used as fronts for my TB looking for a new home. (PM me) however they dont have the over reach bit as in the link you posted and im not certain if they come in fronts and hinds or one does both if you know what i mean.

There's no point to them IMO. They are designed to support the legs - you cannot support half a ton of horse with a tiny bit of material wrapped around its leg. The only things they do are 1) prevent interferance injuries, which a good pair of brushing boots would do anyway, and 2) heat the legs up, potentially damaging the internal structures.
I have a pair... at the back of my shed, where they belong
