Hello!
I’m looking for alternatives to protexin acid ease that’s easier on the bank account?asked a few people but thought I’d get some wider advice, for maintenance purposes as horse is a wind sucker and had problems with ulcers in the past but want to see if there’s a product that dies the same job for a bit less
Thankyou

Not sure if it’s any easier on the bank account but I put my Connie on Science Supplements GastoKind. He isn’t an obviously stressy pony but holds it all in until it all comes tumbling out. I found he was a lot less bitey and bad tempered on it as it coats the tummy I presume he was more comfortable.

I know a few people with ulcer prone horses who feed Rennies as a preventative. They seem to get good results, and the horses certainly enjoy them! I think they feed 6 or so per feed.

my ulcery one is doing well on Feedmark Ultimate Ease, not sure if it's any cheaper at the standard rate but they are always doing an offer of some kind.

I've moved onto their Bespoke supp now which lets you mix various things together so I've combined vits and mins and extra magnesium with it which is really economical.
