Very self indulgent post but on Sunday my daughter qualified in the Adventurer Challenge & will be competing at Scope this year. This is the first time she's qualified. She jumped a steady first round to get into the jump off & then in the jump off really gave it the gun & finished 5th with another clear round. The class was about 55 strong so she did really well.....so proud of her & her horse.........doesn't the home journey seem quicker when you've had a great day?

Adventurer Challenge is a 1.05mtr class qualifying you for Scope. To quote the programme:-

"For registered horses which have not won a total of £300. First 6 to qualify, must jump clear in first round, qualification will not pass down the line".

The jump off course was put up by 2 holes, so it was at 1.15mtr, which is pretty large for my daughter, she's only jumped one newcomers in the past & she's still in British Novice. Credit to her though she went for it & got there! Bless her horse, he really helped her out & they both gelled

My daughter has worked really hard with her lad to get him right, it's been hard work as he had ability but was rather 'boisterous' shall we say. It's now paying off & they are really starting to achieve. By the time Scope comes round hopefully they'll be going even better.

We've been to Scope the last couple of years as spectators, so it's quite exciting going there to actually compete. I'm sorting out a lorry to take at the moment as we only have 4x4 & trailer.

24th - 30th August can't come soon enough, not that we're wishing our lives away
