Fizz was going to flyball training last year but thanks to a massive workload and OH living 100 miles away we just couldn't make training some weeksn and she didn't seem to be improving so I decided to give it up as a bad job. Fast forward to a month or so ago and now OH is down here and I'm in a new job, OH talked me into trying it again with a different club.
She's a different dog! She is more sensitive than I give her credit for and I think being outdoors so it's less noisy has made all the difference. No hooning round as soon as she gets the ball, no refusing to go near the box (she's still a little wary but 100x more confident and even starting to think about turning). In her first training session she was running as part of a team and last week she was starting to get quicker and even thought about crossing over (she's much too polite and wants to wait until the other dog is out of the way at the moment lol). She's doing her first starter competition next weekend which I'm super excited about. She just seems so much more enthusiastic and like it's all clicked.....she even trained in the rain without a tantrum.....with no coat on!!! (granted the coat had to go on when she was resting or she dithered like an old lady)

OH insisted on coming to watch but spent the morning like this....that's her coat on his knees
And one of me and the old dude just so he's not left out
