We have a nearly 10 week old pup who i adore!! He is great and gd fun the only problem is he can be quite chewy/mouthy when he excited and as he our first puppy just looking for some advice as to what to do! Should i just let him chewy hands/ fingers and he just grow out or should this be some thing we stop him doing if so how should i stop him?? I know puppy chew when they r teething, and he loves his toys which he chews, but i don't want him to bite/chewy as a adult!!

thank you in advance

I've got a teether at the minute.

Frozen carrots are your friends :) or try and redirect him onto a chew or toy.

My fella has a nasty nip on him, can usually be distracted using a high pitched 'ow' or a squeak but when he gets frenzied I do give him a little shake by the scruff (not Alpha rolling or anything hard/painful) to break his attention/get him to calm down.

It's completely normal behaviour and they do mostly grow out of it, he's still a baby, don't take it personally but don't be afraid to be firm/put boundaries in place.
