Hi, I'm getting a puppy in a couple of weeks as an 'understudy' for my aging Rottie & I wondered what people think about the Puppy Culture Dvd's? Are they worth the money? I have had a lot of dogs over the years but mostly rescues/rehomes. It's a long time since I've had a pup and I want to do right by him. There seems to be such a diversity of rearing/training methods now that I feel I've lost confidence.

I think for novice dog owners they can be useful but imo go too OTT in what you must not do with pup in regard to exercise etc.

Hundreds of free vids on YouTube which are more helpful.

If you are a fan of positive reinforcement/clicker training etc then 'Kikopup' has a wealth of videos to watch on YouTube for free covering pretty much everything anyone may ever want to train their pups to do/not do!

also look to Training Positive on you tube he had a wonderful gsd that he lost a while ago and now has a new pup.

I've just sold my first litter of pups. I had considered buying into the puppy culture community but on evaluation realised it was a bit of common sense which I didn't need to pay mega bucks for!
All my pups have left me full of confidence and ready for the real world with basic focus training in place and well on the way to being house trained. They've all settled in very quickly and the feedback so far has been very positive with people saying they are the easiest pups they've had.
Didn't do PC but did use some of the same methods and don't seem to have done too shabby a job for my first time.
Use ypur knowledge and the free resources available to you and I'm sure you will also manage just fine with your new puppy!
