The optimum age for your pup to go to a new home is 7-8 weeks - therefore your new babe will not have had all his innoculations when you collect him - you must be guided by your vet as to the best routine.

However he WILL need socialising - especially as you have chosen a guarding breed - ask lots of visitors to cuddle and talk to him, making sure that all the experiences are pleasant.

Once he has had his final jabs -take him to busy crowded places ( sit outsside your local Tesco for example) and let people make a fuss of him-

Crate training is a good idea and a very easy way to toilet train your pup but please DO NOT leave him in it for hours and if he cries during the night you must get up and let him out or he will soil his crate and be very distressed -

Get a copy of 'The Perfect Puppy' by Gwen Bailey it will tell you all you need to know - and enjoy your new addition !
