On one side of Roly's face, the last tooth before his main incisor has always been a bit small. In fact a lot smaller than the other side. I have never taken much notice, chews well, he eats well, he wasn't in pain.

However play fighting the other day I have noticed a new little tooth has broken through the gum behind!!! Which likely explains his mouthing the blanket which I had put down to coming off mum early.

Now a) is the front or back one likely to be the adult tooth? And also whats the prognosis for this? He's in no pain with it at all. He eats hard food, plays tug etc exactly as the bitch does...

He's booked into the vets at the end of the month, but I'm trying to gauge whether anything needs to be done about it.

Don't know much about teeth!

Thanks

Abe had a baby tooth left at 18 months. We had it pulled when he was neutered.

I would probably get your vet to look at it when you go and he may very well want to pull it.

Thanks KLH

Nice new signature!

I feel a bit bad for him as he has always mouthed his blanket and I guess I should have thought more about why he was doing it. He'll hate going back to the ball-stealers, but so be it!
