Puppy versus adult dog comparison: show me yours!

If you pay shipping costs I can get a nearing 4 year old tri bitch to you. She barks constantly, does what she’s asked about three times a week, makes some border collies seem mellow and will probably have gnawed her way through the packaging en route and gone on a killing spree before getting to you - what’s not to want?!
I know this should put me off but it makes me want one even more. I've already got a sassy horse, toddler and cat. I'm missing a sassy dog, Mabel is too mellow.

@Cinnamontoast i love your black boy, he’s got a wonderful square head.
@blackcob what happened to Baby Sharks (I’m doomed to sing that all day now) neck? He looks like a rugby prop. He is the most awesome looking dog but every inch of him screams ‘handful’ to me. 😄

Anyway you can all retire from the party as I had a puppy who actually looked more like a soft toy than a dog. 🥰

I think it's the photos, it's not so square irl, unlike Bear who is more labrador than springer, massive head!

Even by Corgi standards - she’s a pain. Our red dog is very different, like a lab. But he is a rarity; most are like watered down versions of her.

I think most sane people would have sent her back to her breeder at the start - but we love her and her loyalty trumps her gin’ness. A behaviourist acquaintance who loves a challenge, and who is actually quite good, recently told me ‘the best thing you could do is take her out for one last run around the woods and have a team of SAS marksmen to take her out - cause she’d never go quietly, and no matter what you do, that dog is always going to be somewhat unhinged. It’s in the stitching.’

For postage - the offer is still there…

This is my favourite thread ever ❤️ here is Stanley when he came home and now, aged 8. He was the easiest pup ever and has gotten more troublesome and demanding every day since.

indy, 12 weeks and 2 years! She’s so funny, loves talking to us! Never had a vocal lab before, it’s not even similar to barking, she kinda talks like a husky and depending on mood Or what she’s after the tone/volume changes - very entertaining! She’s a proper working line, mum FT junior and dad a Scottish FTcH from memory. Not sure if its more common in working lines to talk!

I'm going to cheat and join in this thread because I'm jealous/broody with all the puppies and Fodhla was just turned 1 when we got her, so technically kind of a puppy and her appearance has changed in the nearly 8 months we've had her ! Below is first pic I saw of her, pic taken her first day home, and one from the other day (hopefully updated in order).

What a completely brilliant thread! Love the idea 😍😍
I also love the idea. Dog cuteness overload!
And I love that we also get to see some golden oldies and dogs that have been loved from beginning to end.
I have no puppy pictures of my monster as I got him as a one and a half year old, so it looks like I'll just have to get a puppy! (plan actually in the works, so fingers crossed)
