. . . and all I did was stand up! I got up off the sofa to go take a shower and my back just went . . . my lower back is pretty weak anyway (I've not been kind to it over the years) and I've injured it several times, but I've never experienced pain like this - I very nearly passed out (no exaggeration). Luckily my daughters were home (it's half term) and were able to help me. I'm propped up on the sofa with a hot water bottle on my lower back just now and am doped up on painkillers. I just don't understand what I did! I simply stood up - I didn't even stretch - and something went "twang" in my lower back. I couldn't stand up, I coudn't sit, I couldn't lay down. Even having birthed three children (two with no pain medication), I've not experienced pain so severe that I nearly passed out.
Here's hoping it's much better tomorrow.
