I am assuming I just feed more? Islay has definitely dropped a bit of condition since I have changed her diet, so I am topping up her food each day with pilchards and eggs - I'll get her some tripe as well as soon as I can...

Is there anything I should avoid in case it upsets her stomach?

I'm always a little careful with the oily fish. i do feed it about 4 times a week but i have noticed mine will get soft poops if i feed it more often.

When i want more weight on mine i either add an extra meal in or just add 1% of their body weight in muscle meat to each meal.

Ah great thanks Katie, so I can add mince and so forth as well :) That makes things easier, I can cheat and go to the supermarket in the short term - as I STILL havent made it to the butchers :D

Mince all the way, the value stuff is 98p per 500g in Sainsburys. Also it's kind to toothless longdogs! :p

I have fed an old tin of tuna in brine that I found at the back of the cupboard, rinsed well, but buy the stuff in spring water now.
