A friend of mine has asked me to pass around a couple questionnaires around - she's doing some research on stallions and any answers would be massively appreciated.

Bit weird. 'Does it matter to you if the stallion has been hogged'.

Hogged as in having its mane clipped off? Seems an odd question for a mare owner. What are the questionnaires in aid of, are they part of a student survey?

Yep, a student survey - she's looking into how much the mare owner's choice is affected by the stallion's "aesthetics" in compared to other factors. I think her reasoning behind wondering that particular question would be since some breeds (gyspy cobs, PRE) tend to be shown off with big manes.

Agreed, and THE most important questions ref conformation and movement are missing!

And, why does the height of a fence matter, when the survey doesn't actually ask what size the stallion is? Bonkers! 😂

Aw, cut her some slack: you have no idea what the requirements for this survey are, there's no harm in providing a little bit of off the wall info, is there?

It is a very odd survey, but its only a few questions and took me less than 2 mins so I did it. Hope it helps, and that its not for degree level research!

“Whether they are homozygous or not”. Homozygous for what? Colour or genetic disease - there is a big difference!
