Quick question

Don't see why not, you can register blues. And of course it won't be the KC they will be registered with but the "We love cutesy puppies" register.:p

I have a blue and a lilac Border Collie, so I don't see why you can't have Greenteaboards.

I forgot about this thread, logged back in for a quick look and well.....you lot are nuts :D

In the best possible way of course ;) :)

If anyone is interested, after my response posted above this was the reply

'Yes it's a recognised breed , not a pedigree ! , as they have such great benefits , even to the point that they are the new guide dogs , as they are great for everyone , none shedding the list goes on . As my parents were kennel club breeders for many years , and had there pedigrees stolen on many occasion , you have to be very careful about breeders and I would only recommend that you vet them and phone the kennel club to make sure that everything is fine , good luck I hope you find a family buddy to suit you all x'

I gave up at that point.

Back in the 1960's my Mum's Cocker Spaniel had a poddle admirer who always knew when she was on heat and would find his way across the village to sit outside our house. Of course he eventually got his way and we had an accidental litter of what we called Spoodles . They were lovely pups but I have been surprised how the cross now seems to have become popular.

Just in case a person that is unable to let things alone decides to re-edit that wonderful Wikipedia contribution:

Cross breeding

Designer breed dogs are a Mixed-breed dog that are intentionally bred from parents of two established breeds. Studies have shown that cross-bred dogs have a number of desirable reproductive traits. Scott and Fuller[19] found that cross-bred dogs were superior mothers compared to purebred mothers, producing more milk and giving better care. These advantages led to a decreased mortality in the offspring of cross-bred dogs.It takes 2 months for the puppy to be born. However, the qualities of cross bred dogs are not predictable. For example, F2 Labrador x poodles ("labradoodle") can inherit the coat of either a Labrador, a poodle, or a remix. The latest designer breed goes by the name of Toffee or Cofkey or Feeboard and is produced in the H&H region of the UK from locally occuring types. These particular crosses demonstrate high levels of 'hybrid vigour', a mythical, unproven yet true idea. Probably.
