So I decided to take my youngster for her first drag hunt yesterday....
We made it exactly 100 yards into the first canter when she bolted, screamed to a halt put her head between her knees bronced till i was off and took off after the main field (we were in the novice section behind) ... they caught her eventually, the whole field had to be stopped including the hounds!
She has done this before when over excited and have had all tack, back teeth checked etc in case anyone is panicking!
I could still see the trailer from where i lay in the mud!
Mercifully she is ok, just a few cuts where she leapt a barbed wire fence!! I feel like i have been hit by a bus today! Took her back to the trailer and spent 2 hours in the rain waiting for the rest of the field to come back!
Is this the quickest and most embarrassing hunt fall ever? I know i was humiliated!! You could literally hear everyone thinking 'blooming beginners'!!!!
