I have the land, I have the hay, I have the facilities, and OH has nothing to do with it either, so forget those.
They are registered and dirt cheap. One 10 month palomino APHA, one black Morgan long yearling (VERY nice)

Does the fact that my current head count is 13 make a difference?

The 13 thing is a valid point though, I can get around that by adding Boarders though.

Youngsters? Well they're obviously investments, aren't they....? For you to be able to bring on and sell when they are older (yeah, right, by the sounds of it! :D)

And I agree, 15 sounds SOOOO much better than 13.....

And we want pics of the new arrivals too.....

Seems to be missing a new palamino and a Morgan?! I am jumping on the unlucky 13 bandwagon!!

13 / 15 - still count as early/mid teens!!
 
If you have the money go for it and also if they are cheap you can bring them on making them worth more nothing stopping you like you said you have the land hay etc

It is over here, none are insured, most companies only cover mortality and that's not worth it for less than $10K. I have decent horses but they aren't high end stock.

Nah, that one doesn't work either:(
 
You've got the Pally - fantastic! (Piccies please when available), so if my sums are any good, that makes 14. But you DO need the black one too - because if you have an even number of horses, then if you take one of them out of the herd to do something with it (groom, train, ride etc...) then there'll be an odd number left in the field - and that means that one will be without his/her pair bond - and we can't be having that now, can we? :-)
 
Our excuse for having 14 of the baby things is that they'reon a 4:1 ratio....ie, 4 foals is equal to 1 horse.....

I want a black horse (no they are not unlucky just gorgeous)! Is the Morgan a filly? She would cross nicely onto my appaloosa few spot Aa Ee stallion! I keep getting offered black beauties but I don't have the hay or really the time for 4 horses. I had 4 last winter and it nearly finished me off.

ENFYS you are so lucky - if you CAN have more, get more - life's too short for "what if's!!!" :D

14!:eek: Yoiks, how big are yours? Thankfully mine are all 13h or less.

I follow the same sort of reasoning! "....but Darling, they don't eat much - really"
